#40590 SSD Grill Trim Ring Cover Group Buy! (Finally)

Posted by cmpc on 15 March 2011 - 11:07 PM

Ok, we're FINALLY ready to roll these SSD Grill Trim Ring Covers out. Here are a couple of pics of the final product on my own Soul. They are laser cut from .063" aluminum (light weight and flexible), are powder coated in either a semi-gloss black or high gloss red (to mimic the "Burner" grill) for an extremely durable finish and install very simply with automotive grade 3M adhesive tape and cover your existing (plastic) chrome upper grill ring. These look great and we'll also have the matching lower grill rings shortly too (maybe a week or two).

Here's a couple of pics I snapped this afternoon, better pics to come when (and if)the sun ever shines again ;).....

Here's the deal with the group buy: I'm going to offer these at a VERY SPECIAL PRICE of just $39 + shipping!!! That's $20 off the regular price of $59 that we will be selling them to everyone else for. This is just for you SoulHamsters and ONLY until tax day (4/15/2011). No limit as to how many we sell and you get your choice of either red or black. We're not going to make anything on these but I hope it gets a lot of them out there for everyone else to see so if you get one and some other Soul owner asks you where you got it... PLEASE tell them!

They look great and do a good job of hiding the chrome trim but personally, I would still recommend blacking out the horizontal 1/4" or so of chrome behind it with some black touch up paint or black tape or something so that even if you stick your face down there really close you won't see any chrome (that's just me tho).

I've already pre-sold through most of the first batch at regular price and I have ordered a second batch so don't wait too long if you want one! We'll be powder coating these into late next week so I would say that we'll start mailing them out buy the end of next week or so. When you pay for this, you'll be on the list to ship as soon as they are powder coated. First come first served.

Here's the GB fine print...

Price good through 4/15/2011.
USPS Priority Mail shipping to the US will be $8
Canadian USPS International Priority mail is $22
All other countries please PM me for a quote

If you want to pay with your Paypal account, just send $39 plus shipping to our Paypal id (info@centralmissouripowdercoating.com) and please include a note as to which color you'd like.

If you want to pay with your credit card, just go to our website and scroll down to the "BUY NOW" button. Click on it and it will ask you for a "donation" amount (it's the only way Paypal's checkout would allow a customer to enter their own amount), enter your total with shipping and then enter your credit card info. Again, please let me know your color choice.

I'm really sorry this took so long but hopefully it was worth the wait!

Thanks in advance!!!!

#31105 DTH Header Cel Solutions

Posted by Doug Thorley headers on 30 December 2010 - 04:16 PM

Hmm, i thought these were going to be the headers to end all CEL's. Im glad i didnt a set when they were ripe for the picking! I cant imagine spending 400+ bucks on something that isnt tuned properly and then going out and spending more on some part to fix a brand new part. Anyways, sorry for the rant but ive had very high hopes about this header and it just seems to be more of a PITA then i ever wouldve expected.

hmmm. So you don't have a header, yet you asked me to send you a defouler. Ever get that? I sent it priority just liked you asked. I also sent that free of charge so technically, there is no extra expense to fix this extremely minor problem had you bought the header of course. If you have been following this entire thread, you would know that I have been working on this fix all along. I developed an element that works in conjunction with the long defouler and it does seem to be working for the folks that received them, free of charge. Only under extreme use, say racing corvettes :P , will the light flash at you. In both cases, the light shut back off.

Tuning: wut? The header isn't tuned? I don't really understand what you are saying. The CEL that comes on is the ecu's way of telling you that the Cat is not functional. IT DOES NOT AFFECT AIR FUEL RATIOS, IT DOES NOT HAVE ANY ADVERSE AFFECTS ON DRIVEABILTY OR PERFORMANCE. It's a light on the dash. That is it.

I have a batch of elements ready to go out to the folks that requested them. Those will be shipped over the next few days. Free of charge.

#86355 New Burner Style Grille Poll

Posted by Tempest on 30 January 2012 - 06:50 AM

Decided to color match my Tempest Trim ring to the car body color. So half an hour with some sandpaper and a rattle can and here we have it. Its very cold here for spraying so may try for a smoother result in the summer. But what do you think?

#65814 Cargo Cover

Posted by Armrest King on 31 July 2011 - 03:44 AM

Tis neither plastic, nor Canadian.

It's from Europe.

He's a good seller by the way, used to be a vendor here, just never came by.

If you go directly to my site (www.armrest-autoaccessories.com) you will save about $20 on this cargo cover.
On this site you will pay in US $$. Makes a difference too.
On Ebay I need to charge more because of their fees.
Best regards,
Armrest King

#34748 2010 Special Edition Value

Posted by AiboPet on 04 February 2011 - 05:01 PM

Mods make the car worth MUCH less. Dealer would probly gimme $34 and two packs of M&Ms for MINE now :P

DRIVE it...have FUN with it! If you trade it in, put it as back to stock as you can....and don't worry about it. Mine is a "lifer". I'll likely get ANOTHER one in a couple years, but then I'll just have two :)

RED, where you able to check the flasher for the Soul to see if it's the same? Where is the location of the flasher in the Soul anyway? This would be great for the turn signals. But you would need something for the brake lights though.

#30578 Are These Still Available?

Posted by h-bomb on 23 December 2010 - 08:01 PM

I wasn't going to drive all over looking for a phillips head screwdriver long enough
to reach, and for you to expect me to do so is unrealistic.

Sorry, but for $275 or whatever you were getting, I would CERTAINLY expect you to drive wherever you needed to drive to in order to get said screwdriver. Your statement above is what's unrealistic, and your business ethic is piss-poor. Good riddance to bad rubbish is all I can say.

RED, sorry if I'm out of line here. Feel free to zap my post. I know I've been here less than a week, but this whole thing really irks me.

They are.

And the reputation system is there (new on this version for us) for others to voice theirs.

Where are the buttons to even give rep on this software?

We've got over 700 members now, are we going to get one of these threads every time someone gets negative points?

If so, maybe we should just disable it so we don't get all the drama?

I understand. In the past, we've had peak product sales for Souls that are between 1 and 2 years old. That seems to be when folks are more likely to start performance mods anyway. Even a guy like me that makes stuff to sell was a little hesitant to do it. Might still, you never know (the 2010-2013 braces are selling very well) but I think we've got some time to think it over for the '14's and I'm not going anywhere.

Hi all, our new SSD exhaust system is here!

This SSD "ChamberFlow" axle back exhaust system has a great deep, aggressive sound without that annoying highway drone or buzzing. The chambered muffler design has a nice deep tone from an idle all the way up through the RPM range. This new exhaust system features a heavy gauge all welded steel chambered performance muffler, aluminized tubing, and chrome 2.75" slash-cut straight exhaust tip that exits BELOW the Soul's rear valance so there' no need to cut up your rear valance to install (unless maybe you have an aftermarket or Sport rear skirt)

Since I've been doing the R&D, almost all of the feedback from customers was that they wanted a more aggressive sound than the competition and they wanted a straight chrome tip out the back with no cutting required and of course, a good price was important.

Sound clip...

Your SoulHamsters price is just $179 plus $29 shipping to the continental US (we're selling these on our website for $199). All other shipping locations please PM me for a shipping rate.

I've been running one of these on my own Soul for a couple of months now and I like the sound even more as time passes. I honestly think this new system combines the best balance of performance, sound and looks available for the 2010-2013 Kia Soul

Installation is quick and easy with no drilling or modifications required. We include instructions, hardware and even a new exhaust flange gasket

If you'd like one, please either PM me here or email me at info@centralmissouripowdercoating.com (that's also our Paypal ID) with your shipping and email addresses and I'll send you an invoice with the special pricing on it

I know many of you want a sound clip so I'm working on that. I'll try and get something uploaded in the next week or so (I'm somewhat challenged in some areas of technology still)

Here they are, our new SSD Engine Covers for the 2010-2011 Soul 2 Liter. These will be on sale to you members here through May at a very special price of just $59 + $19 Priority Mail to the US! To be fair with everyone, we're also putting ALL of our engine covers on sale to members here for the same $59 + $19 shipping as well. Please PM me about interational shipping rates.

Please remember to let me know if you'd like the black or silver powder coat and if you are buying one of our older style engine covers I'll also need to know whether you want a red, silver or black set of SSD graphics for it.

Thanks again to everyone for your support!

#34928 February Soul Meet Summary

Posted by SOULy_Roller on 06 February 2011 - 06:28 PM

Whoa, great meet yesterday!!!!

Geeked to have been part of the cruise/hanging out/early-afternoon roadhouse lunch....and also a little bit of the, ahem, SPIRITED driving up the mountain... :)

Again, thanks for letting me hang with you guys.
Cool to meet a bunch more of ya!!! Can't wait for the next cruise you spin up.

-- Mike T.

PS: Another additionally-awesome part of meeting up: the knowledge/tech sharing....!
After hearing the sound of Shawn's Soul, (and you other guys rocking the intake/exhaust mods), I am DEFINITELY on-board to get one of those Takeda CAI's!!!
