Looking at buying a 2015 Kia Soul. It's a salvage title, so there is no warranty. On the test drive, as soon as we shut it down, there was oil smoke coming from the back of the motor. Obviously coming from the hot exhaust manifold, but i saw no signs of leaks from the valve cover gasket and couldn't get anything in there close enough to see where it's coming from.
This car is a great deal but I don't want to get into a problem car....
SO if you can tell me what this might be from that would be great. oil was a little over full which makes me think that it's either a result of the seller topping it off to cover this issue or just careless. It smokes just a tiny bit, not much, so this is a little weeping type of a leak and it's hitting hot exhaust hence the smell and just detectable smoke. Looks to be coming from drivers side of the motor but hard to tell.
Anything else to look out for on these 2015's?
